The Entire Breakfast for the Brain Archive is Now Online
Breakfast for the Brain© for secondary-level educators and biomedical professionals
Breakfast for the Brain is an MSMR public outreach initiative designed to help secondary-level educators and biomedical professionals turn news and trends in biomedical and biological research into educational experiences for students and the public.
Breakfast for the Brain debuted in January 2002 to subscribers across New England and around the country. Daily e-mail packets delivered topical articles, lesson plans, background facts and information, classroom activities, puzzles and games, announcements, and other items related to topics that change monthly. While topics focused on issues and events in biomedicine and biological science, Breakfast for the Brain strove to be cross-curricular and to relate these issues and events to curricula and events in non-science, as well as science, disciplines.
Breakfast for the Brain topics included Toxicology; Drug Discovery and Development; Animal Research: The Scientific Basis of Animal Use in Research and Testing; and Animal Research: The Ethics of Animal Use in Research and Testing.
